Not only do I appreciate the fact that this gets all the stuff out of my nose and relieves congestion, I LOVE the fact that water goes in one nostril and out the other. This is very helpful because when I’m both bored and have a stuffy nose, I use this to a) get rid of the gunk and b) to entertain myself by poring water through one notril and seeing it come out the other.
Another cool thing to do is buy one of those powered neti syringes, where you push the lever and water squirts right up your nose. CAUTION: those who don’t like to have water blasted, literally, BLASTED up their nose should not buy that version. If you don’t like to have water in your nose, don’t even think about buying a neti pot. It’ll be a waste of your time. However, if you do buy one, make sure to have fun seeing water go in one nostril, and out the other!
PS: It’s also fun to not just neti with water, but other things. My favorite alternatives to water are:
-whipped cream
-chocolate syrup
-milk, and best of all. . .
-chili con queso!*
*it will make your nose fell kinda spicy. not recommended for children over 45.
Thank you for reading my review and helpful tips. Have a nice day.

Contrary to my friends and family, I bought one of these suckers used and saved a ton of cash! After cleaning the previous owner’s residue off the tip I heated up some water and put on some mood music. This is the one purchase I can absolutely say is a dual use technology. You can use it to clean our your sinuses or even your nether regions. What a great purchase. . . .
Oh yeah you could also save some $$ and just stick your nose up in the shower and get the same results but hey where’s the fun in that?

I tried this a couple of times as I was getting over a cold, despite my initial thoughts of, “Who puts water up their noses? That’s just stupid. ” But, several friends recommended it and I saw all the glowing reviews for it, and there were even comments from doctors saying it was OK. Well, when I used it, the water would not drain out the other nostril no matter what I tried. Maybe I have a deviated septum? If so, there should be a warning to people who do, because it gave me a horrible sinus infection. This also happened to a friend of mine, too. He even got it to drain out the other side and also wound up with a horrible sinus infection. I can’t say why, other than maybe I should have listened to my initial instincts and not used it.
