No, I have not bought borrowed / / used the Honeywell-17000, nor, I call your attention to the collective 3 alternatives which seriously taken into consideration before you commit your money and health to the inner workings of these (or other earnings) HEPA devices. Note that you should include in the reimbursement by Medicare, then keep on “my” proposals. Ok, first look at newly introduced products from Amazon, “Hoover SilentAIR 4000 Ionizing Air Purifier” (ASIN: B000090WEX), which looks means business big-time, and the Amazon site already describes its ability to destroy the tiny particles , slip through the HEPA ‘radar’. At this initial disadvantage, “Dielectric Collection Sheet” (must be purchased and probably not wipe). Will anyone find out for us all? Next two devices are comparable, since they are tower-style with a supposedly small footprints (not compatible with small children and) migratory animals: One is the “Ionic Breeze Quadra Silent Air Purifier” by SharperImage (cheaper via outlet), the other is the Honeywell Environizer ) (2 models, both Radio Shack. The Quadra (2 larger sizes) and the Environizer both up to 5-year warranty, and both of courage can be wiped with a sponge. Since none of the three alternatives have fans, they draw much less juice than any HEPA. I do not know and I can not imagine how an entire room air is aggressively scrubbed clean by a passive component, namely the ionic air purifier. A fringe benefit of a HEPA air cleaner sound / noise is that it is less marital strife on random low-level noise, which could inevitably be produced by human activity or bodily functions. I bought this machine and was very disappointed. It is noisy, bulky and not do a good job filtering the air. I would recommend a really good vacuum (we have the yellow Dyson and it is) a wonderful job and just go about your floors and surfaces every day if you want to reduce dust and pet hair. Rating: 2 / 5

The machine looks like it would be on the cleaning and cleans beautifully. Too bad I cannot turn it on.
