This unit is big and loud on the medium and high settings. It moves a lot Luft.Ich it ran in the bedroom at night so much for background noise, such as for cleaning. I have had this unit for about 2 years. A few days before some smoke from my neighbors grill wafted through my window. I closed it and turned the air purifier on high. Four hours later the room was still full of smoke. I opened the window because my neighbor was ready and the smoke had cleared the room had just nach.Ich the device works around the clock for about 1 had. 5 years ago that I was only sporadic.
